We believe in giving back to others through charitable endeavors. Heck, it’s in our name!

At Charity Hop, we put a STRONG emphasis on building charitable components into the breadth of projects we take on. We pride ourselves in seeing the quality work we do for our clients paid forward through continued good work for those in need.

Our founders have worked on both corporate projects with charitable ties, and also directly for some of the highest profiled non-profit organizations in the country. These experiences have enabled us to understand the challenges and obstacles faced on both sides of the ball.

ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter
The ALS Association encourages scientific research to find a cure for ALS, heightens awareness of the nature of the disease, stimulates volunteerism and activism, and increases awareness of government leaders to encourage support of research and patient care.

American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering through research, education, advocacy, and service.

American Diabetes Association
Founded in 1940, the American Diabetes Association is the nation’s leading nonprofit health organization providing diabetes research, information and advocacy.
American Heart Association
The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
American Lung Association
The American Lung Association was founded in 1904 to fight tuberculosis. Today, it fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control and environmental health.
American Red Cross
Since 2002, the Sox have held an annual blood drive at Fenway Park on September 11. In 2003, the Sox began honoring a blood donor before each home game, with the exception of opening day. Sox players such as Trot Nixon have donated their time and effort to support the event.
The Angel Fund
The Red Sox’ Mike Timlin has actively supported this non-profit organization dedicated to supporting ALS investigations at the Cecil B. Day Laboratory for Neuromuscular Research at Massachusetts General Hospital. Mike and his wife, Dawn, hold several events annually including the Sharon Timlin Memorial 5k Run, named for Mike’s mother who died in 2002 from complications of ALS.
Baltimore Community Foundation
Both Eddie Murray & Brooks Robinson established donor-advised funds at the Baltimore Community Foundation where they are actively involved in grantmaking to a number of charitable organizations including schools for at-risk children. Eddie Murray Cabernet & Brooks Robinson Chardonnay also supports this fund.
Baseball Assistance Team
The Baseball Assistance Team was formed in 1986, primarily by a group of former Major League Baseball players to help members of the baseball "family" who have come on hard times and are in need of assistance.
Baseball Tomorrow Fund
The mission of BTF is to promote and enhance the growth of youth participation in baseball and softball throughout the world by funding programs, fields, coaches’ training, and the purchase of uniforms and equipment to encourage and maintain youth participation in the game.
Ben's Dream Ben’s Dream
Ben’s Dream is the hope of Ben Siedman’s parents to find a cure for Sanfilippo Syndrome, a rare & fatal inherited genetic disorder. Ben and thousands of children afflicted like him have a life expectancy between 10 and 15 years. There is no treatment. There is no cure. Only hope. The Ben’s Dream White Sox played the 2007 season in the Boston Men’s Baseball League to raise awareness for this cause.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston
Major League Baseball’s official charity since 1997, David Ortiz has been front and center, hosting a celebrity mixer bartending event and Big Papi’s Power Hitting Clinic for Kids. Papi even put his 50th HR ball up for auction with proceeds to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Plaza de la Salud Hospital de Niños in his native Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Brees Dream Foundation The Brees Dream Foundation
New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees and his wife Brittany began their foundation to provide care, education and opportunities for less fortunate youth, as well as children with cancer, giving them the quality of life they so richly deserve. Drew’s charity wine supports the "Operation Kids" campaign, an effort to rebuild facilities and programs for the children of New Orleans.
Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care The Cam Neely Foundation For Cancer Care
The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care, The Neely House and The Neely Cancer Fund share a common goal - to assist cancer patients and their families during treatment. The charity wine, Cambernet, also support the foundation.
Canine Companions for Independence
CCI is a national nonprofit that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly-trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. For the past several years CCI has sold "Pups In The Park" calendars with photos of players posing with the companion pups and some of their owners. The calendars include the Red Sox’ schedule, and volunteers have sold them outside Fenway Park, raising about $60,000 in each of the last three years.
Catching for Kids Catching for Kids
The Catching for Kids Foundation was established by the Mets’ Brian Schneider in 2008 to support children and their participation in sports by providing funding and creative programming. The foundation strives to enable children of all backgrounds and physical abilities to enjoy the games they love.
Celebrities For Charity Celebrities for Charity Foundation
The Celebrities for Charity Foundation supports many charities in their fund raising efforts by providing celebrity support. It has donated over $1.2 million of funds and memorabilia to more than 750 different causes. Proceeds from the Boston Bruins’ Ray Bourque "Bourque Merlot" also supports this cause.
Champions Sports Foundation Champions Sports Foundation
Barry Larkin of the Cincinnati Reds built the Champions Sports Complex to harness the power of sport and use it to successfully develop the youth in America by targeting their social, emotional, and educational needs. The Foundation was established as the premier safe haven for the total development of young people through the authority of sport.
CHARLEE Program
CHARLEE provides therapeutic, residential, and supportive services to abused, abandoned, and neglected children within a safe environment in a community-based continuum of care. Based in Miami-Dade County, their goal is to enable each child to reach his or her full potential as a healthy and productive adult. Manny Ramirez has supported this cause with sneaker donations and also will be donating proceeds from his "Manny Merlot" wine label.
Child Haven
Fred Lynn has helped raised thousands of dollars for this shelter in Las Vegas that provides temporary care and treatment for abused, neglected and abandoned children.
The Children’s Room
The Children’s Room is a center for bereaved children and teenagers and the adults who are part of their lives. They provide a caring and safe environment for bereaved families to learn from each other and to deal with their grief and find ways to heal.
The Cure Baseball The Cure Baseball
The Cure Baseball strives to positively impact the lives of people and families who have been affected by all types cancer through a collegiate summer baseball team, specialized support groups, a scholarship fund and donations to prestigious cancer research groups who are affiliated with colleges and universites.

CURE Childhood Cancer and help conquer childhood cancer through research, education and support of patients and their families. Every kid deserves ad chance to swing for the fences. Sales from Tom Glavine’s Cabernet Glavignon support this organization.
Curt’s Pitch for ALS
Founded by Curt Schilling and his wife, Shonda, Curt’s Pitch for ALS is a program aimed at raising awareness and funds for the fight against ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
MLB Phillies slugger Mike Schmidt and NFL Saints legendary QB Bobby Hebert both developed charity wines to support CF. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation helps assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.
Dan Marino Foundation Dan Marino Foundation
Inspired by experiences raising their second son, Michael, who has autism, Dan Marino and his wife, Claire, created the Dan Marino Foundation. Proceeds from your purchase of Marino Estates wines goes toward treatment programs, outreach services, scientific research, and independence through transition programs for children and young adults with special needs.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
Every year, thousands of people with cancer from around the world come to Dana-Farber. Unlike general hospitals, Dana-Farber specializes exclusively in cancer research and care. Every employee at the hospital, from the office assistants to the chief of staff, is committed entirely to supporting patients with all kinds of cancer — including the rarest forms — and to finding a cure for the disease.
David Ortiz Childrens Fund David Ortiz Children’s Fund
The David Ortiz Children’s Fund benefits the children of Red Sox Nation and his Dominican Republic home. As examples, David has made several donations in Santo Domingo for the Robert Reid Cabral Children’s Hospital, as well as for flood relief in the Dominican. Proceeds from Vintage Papi from Charity Wines also support this cause.

Easter Seals helps individuals with disabilities and special needs, and their families, live better lives. From child development centers to physical rehabilitation and job training for people with disabilities, Easter Seals offers a variety of services to help people with disabilities address life’s challenges and achieve personal goals.
Ernie Banks, Live Above and Beyond Ernie Banks Live Above & Beyond Foundation
Ernie Banks built the Live Above & Beyond Foundation to eliminate prejudice, support programs that enhance neighborhoods and relieve discrimination among various age groups and races. They provide educational scholarships, donate sports equipment, and more. The Ernie Banks Chardonnay charity wine project supports this cause.

Founded by Derrek Lee of the Chicago Cubs, the 1st Touch Foundation creates opportunities, positive change, and hope for our youth striving to overcome challenges beyond their control.
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center
At Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, our interdisciplinary teams of world-renowned scientists and humanitarians work together to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, HIV/AIDS and other diseases. The 2011 Charity Wine released by Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester supported this cause.
Gabe Kapler Foundation
Founded by Gabe and Lisa Kapler, the non-profit foundation is dedicated to stopping domestic violence. The goal is to empower victims of abuse to stop the violence perpetuated against them by giving them the tools to live self-sufficient, violence-free lives. The foundation also focuses on preventing those children living in abusive environments from becoming lifelong victims or from becoming future abusers.
Good Sports
Good Sports has served approximately 50,000 young people by providing nearly $1 million worth of apparel, equipment, and footwear to community organizations and schools offering sports and fitness programs to disadvantaged and disabled youth. Red Sox home run king David Ortiz has pitched batting practice to kids to benefit this cause and auctioned off personal items to raise $30,000.
Habitat for Humanity International
Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Hope Animal Rescues Hope Animal Rescues
Hope Animal Rescues and their shelter in Alton, Illinois rescues animals on their last day of life from animal control facilities that continue to use the gas chamber. Mark Buehrle of of the Chicago White Sox has been active with organizations helping animals for the majority of his career.
Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids Hits for Kids from Kevin Youkilis
Hits for Kids is dedicated to rallying local and corporate support for charities and organizations focused on the health and wellbeing of children. Kevin Youkilis teams up with existing community-based children’s charities and medical research programs in New England and in Kevin’s home town of Cincinnati, to help them raise money and awareness.
Hot Stove Cool Music Hot Stove, Cool Music
Founded by baseball writers Peter Gammons and Jeff Horrigan, the event combining music with baseball has raised thousands for the Jimmy Fund and The Foundation To Be Named Later.
The Jimmy Fund
Since its founding in 1948, the Jimmy Fund has supported the fight against cancer in children and adults at Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping to raise the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world. The 2011 Charity Wine released by Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz supported this cause.
Johan Santana Foundation The Johan Santana Foundation
The Johan Santana Foundation funds worthy programs that focus on education and healthcare domestically and abroad. Johan has underwritten community-based initiatives that educate and counsel youth on health-related issues, and has also provided critical funding for melanoma research.
Jonathan Ogden Foundation Jonathan Ogden Foundation
The Baltimore Raven’s Jonathan Ogden Foundation helps student-athletes take responsibility for their futures through lessons learned on the playing field, in the classroom, and throughout their local communities. Their aim is to capture a student-athlete’s passion and dedication for their respective teams and sports, and transform it into a catalyst for scholastic, community, and career development that will help them become positive role models throughout their communities for generations to come.
Jordan Fund
Founded in 2003 by former Sox player John Olerud and his wife Kelly to support special needs children and their families. It is named for their daughter Jordan, who was born in 2000 with a chromosome disorder.
Jorge Posada Foundation The Jorge Posada Foundation
The Jorge Posada Foundation was established to help children and families affected by craniosynostosis. The foundation provides emotional and financial support as it underwrites a portion of the costs of initial surgeries in its partner medical centers.
The Josh Beckett Foundation The Josh Beckett Foundation
The Josh Beckett Foundation was established in 2007 to support community based programs throughout New England and in his hometown of Spring, Texas to improve the health and well-being of children, especially children that are seriously ill, disabled, poor or otherwise disadvantaged. The Beckett Bowl was the foundation’s first event and benefit the Children’s Hospital Boston. Chardon-K wine followed.
Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement uses hands-on experiences to help young people understand the economics of life. In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential.
Ken Griffey Jr Family Foundation The Ken Griffey Jr. Family Foundation
The Ken Griffey, Jr. Family Foundation supports several causes, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Seattle Children’s Hospital and Florida Children’s Hospital.
The Lester Project
Following the news that rookie pitcher Jon Lester had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, a group of students/Sox fans from local colleges launched this fundraising effort. They created silicone awareness bracelets, and all net proceeds will go to the Jimmy Fund in Jon’s name.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. The Society’s mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Mike Lowell Foundation
To increase the visibility of the fight against testicular cancer, Mike Lowell started the foundation to enhance the resources available to cancer patients and their families. While with the Marlins, the foundation promoted numerous events including Mike’s Hit it Big Weekend, held each December and featuring The Grand Slam Casino and Mike Lowell’s Celebrity Golf Classic.

The Major League Baseball Players Trust is a charitable foundation through which all Major Leaguer baseball players promote volunteerism, train high school students as community volunteers, and contribute to causes affecting the needy around the world.

Massachusetts Teachers Association
MTA supports public education, funding of education reform efforts, annual increases in public higher education budgets and a continuing commitment to equal educational opportunity and the future of public education. Jason Varitek of the Red Sox has teamed the MTA and thousands of public school teachers across the state to encourage K-8 students to be World Champion Readers.
The Miracle League The Miracle League
Supported by Chipper Jones of the Atlanta Braves. The Miracle League is proud to serve disabled children in the community who have expressed the desire to make plays in the field and round the bases just like their peers. Proceeds from Chipper Chardonnay help provide every child a chance to play baseball.
MR24 Foundation for Manny Ramirez
Manny’s main concern is children, and he knows there’s a lot he can do to help. For this reason, he has been contributing to the CHARLEE PROGRAM, which focuses on meeting the needs of abused children.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency -- a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans.
Navajo Relief Fund Navajo Relief Fund
Jacoby Ellsbury is a member of the Navajo Nation, most of whose communities offer few employment opportunities. Many families struggle to survive in the face of extreme poverty, substandard housing, sporadic medical care, and limited educational opportunities. The Navajo Relief Fund (NRF) brings hope to these struggling people through services aimed at nutrition, preventative healthcare, disaster relief, and holiday cheer. Even more importantly, NRF helps build “strong, self-sufficient Native American communities” by drawing on the deep commitment to clan and culture that is prevalent on the Navajo Reservation.
Neurofibromatosis Foundation of New England Neurofibromatosis Foundation of New England
Dwight Evans and his wife Susan have long been active supporters of this cause. Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves. In the early 1980’s their son Timothy was diagnosed with the malady and underwent a series of surgeries. Among the many prominent New England athletes active in this foundation is former Sox slugger and current NESN analyst Jim Rice.
Operation Kids Operation Kids
Operation Kids is dedicated to improving the lives of children. Recognizing the many dimensions to a healthy, happy child, they support a researched community of issues - addressing education, health, safety and well being. New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees and the Operation Kids team is rebuilding dreams in New Orleans.
Outdoors Without Limits Outdoors Without Limits
Outdoors Without Limits is an organization supported by Homer Bailey of the Cincinnati Reds that is leading a nationwide effort to pull together communities committed to help reduce the barriers that prevent disabled people from enjoying the great outdoors.
Pitching In For Kids
Founded in 2004, the nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing specifically earmarked grants designed to improve the lives of children across the New England region. Grant funds are raised through many sports-related events, including the annual All Star Celebrity Golf Tournament hosted by Tim Wakefield and Jason Varitek.
Police Athletic League Police Athletic League of New York City
The Police Athletic League (PAL) is New York City’s largest, nonprofit, independent youth organization. PAL serves 51,000 boys and girls each year with recreational, educational, cultural and social programs. PAL is the official youth agency of the New York Police Department and the charity of choice of Yankees outfielder, Bobby Abreu.
Project Bread, the walk for hunger Project Bread - The Walk for Hunger
Jacoby Ellsbury support the leading anti-hunger organization in Massachusetts, Project Bread, dedicated to alleviating, preventing, and ultimately ending hunger in the state.  Through The Walk for Hunger, the oldest continual pledge walk in the country, Project Bread provides millions of dollars each year in privately donated funds to more than 400 emergency food programs in 128 communities statewide. Project Bread also advocates systemic solutions that prevent hunger and that provide food to families in natural, everyday settings, including schools.
Rally Foundation Rally Foundation
Supported by Brian McCann of the Atlanta Braves. Proceeds from McCann Merlot support the Rally Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising funds to support pediatric cancer research with an aim to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancers.
RBI
Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) began its inception in 1989 and has grown from a local program for boys in South Central Los Angeles to an international campaign encompassing more than 200 cities and as many as 120,000 male and female participants a year.
Red Sox Foundation
Established by the Red Sox ownership group, it has been the primary funding source for the club’s philanthropy in several areas including The Jimmy Fund, the Red Sox Scholars, Community Athletic Programs and social service programs.
Red Sox Mentoring Challenge
The Sox have teamed up with ex-Celtics great Bill Russell to help out the Massachusetts Mentoring Partnership. The organization has identified more than 10,000 children in the state in need of adult guidance and support and is looking for volunteers to step up to the plate.
Shade Foundation of America
Founded by Curt and Shonda Schilling, its mission is to eradicate melanoma through the education of children and the community in the prevention and detection of skin cancer and the promotion of sun safety.
Special Olympics Massachusetts
Special Olympics contributes to the physical, social, and psychological development of people with intellectual disabilities. Through successful experiences in sports, our athletes gain confidence and build positive self-images, which go with them into their homes, classrooms, jobs, and communities.
Toys for Tots
The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
United Way of Massachusetts
UWMB brings the community together to help improve people’s lives and strengthen the neighborhoods of Greater Boston.
Tim Wakefield Celebrity Golf Classic
This annual winter event hosted by Tim and his wife Stacy benefits the Space Coast Early Intervention Center in Tim’s hometown of Melbourne, Florida. The SCEIC is a pre-school and therapeutic center for families and children with Down syndrome, William’s syndrome, Rhett’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, P-4 Deletion syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Delays, and Apert Syndrome as well as children with visual, speech and hearing delays.
