Richard Dreyfuss Bats for Baseball Documentary


Objective:

Market and promote the launch and release of a new baseball documentary entitled “Signs of the Time” while securing A-list talent to provide voice-over services for the film in an effort to generate exposure.

Strategy:

Charity Hop had two distinct duties on this project. To obtain an A-List narrator for the project we compiled an extensive list of options for our clients to cull down. We then proceeded to contact the representation of each approved party with a packet of information regarding the film. Charity Hop also managed the negotiation and contract end of the spectrum for our client.

For the marketing of the film and launch event, Charity Hop helped Crystal Pix produce a series of top notch press releases and distribute them to an extensive targeted list of media members. Further, Charity Hop assisted in creating a buzz around the picture for entrance into some of the biggest film festivals in the world.

Results:

Charity Hop successfully landed Academy Award Winner Richard Dreyfuss to narrate Signs of the Time. Richard was brought in for his voice-over work and subsequently worked into the press packet materials for the film.

The announcement of Richard’s participation was made at a premiere event in Rochester, NY with hundreds of attendees. Signs of the Time received press in several noteworthy media outlets including Daily Variety.

The film is complete and in May 2009, won best documentary at the Rochester High Falls International Film Festival. Watch the trailer below, or Order the DVD.
